Queer Soup Night STL is going contactless for COVID! Place orders and submit donation by Friday, May 22th.
Curbside Pick Up at MaTovu on Sunday, May 24th. Contactless porch drop-off on Monday, May 25th.
Join us for a QSN STL Zoom on the night of May 25th! MARSH Food Cooperative founders will be on hand to talk about their work queering the economy, and their efforts at providing food security during COVID.
Proceeds from this edition of QSN STL will be donated to The MARSH Food Cooperative. MARSH seeks to provide a consumer co-op with a worker-owned kitchen and diner and a producer co-op for the St. Louis region. The cooperative is rooted in a core mission to queer|radicalize|engage with the socioeconomic intersections between food, community, justice, and sustainability. This mission motivated MARSH to quickly pivot its resources in response to growing food insecurity exacerbated by the COVID pandemic. To date, they have supplied over 400 grocery bundles to St. Louis Quarantine Support and Solidarity Economy. Their incredible contribution has, unfortunately, not been able to match the unprecedented spike in demand during the prolonged crisis. We are humbled to partner with MARSH and mobilize the collective resources of the queer STL community to extend their impact to even more affected citizens in our region.
As always for our events, all donations are optional and donations of any amount are welcome!
